Network Security Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team and safeguard our organization’s network infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing robust security measures, monitoring network traffic for suspicious activities, and responding to security incidents to protect our systems and data from unauthorized access and threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Monitor network traffic for anomalies and suspicious activities, ensuring prompt identification and response to potential security breaches.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
Collaborate with IT teams to design and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
Document security incidents and resolutions, providing detailed reports and recommendations for future prevention.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar security-focused role.
Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and encryption technologies.
Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
